11 1942 WHITE MOTOR CO. Model M3A1 Armored Scout Car, Serial # 269311 - with Machine Gun (non-functioning). Nicely Restored, with Vehicle Title -

Nice restoration on this M3A1 Scout Car, in good running condition, cranks good  (however, water pump leaks, needs repacking, repair or replacement). Vehicle Title reflects year model as 1942 and VIN (Serial #) as 269311, which matches the Manufacturer's data plate. Historical documents from White Motor Co. reflect that the actual delivery date would have been late 1943. Manufacturer's data plate also reflects the Ordnance Number as 17767, which matches painted hood number. Good tires, with spare tire. Ran in numerous parades and convoys by Col. Barrington. Skate rail appears all intact. Machine gun is add-on, not OME. Very nice GPW 4 x 4, runs good. Manufacturer's Serial # stamped on frame 101954 matches VIN (Serial #) on NC Vehicle Title. Originally titled as a 1942 WILLYS, however data plate (reproduction plate) states Make and Model as FORD GPW. Data Plate has Delivery Date of 3-28-42, however some historical data suggest a date of March 1943. Has post war WILLYS engine; T-90 transmission in place of original T-84; M38 wheels from early 1950's, and late 1944 to early 1945 windshield assembly. Very good tires, with spare tire.
